Philadelphia Holds Its Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade

By Nate Feldman

Philadelphia held its 106th Thanksgiving Day Parade, the oldest in the United States, on Thursday, November 27.  The event started in Center City and proceeded along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway until it reached the steps of the Art Museum.

There were marching bands from local high schools and churches, various floats with different themes, and per tradition, Santa Claus rode his reindeer sleigh at the rear.

The event concluded with dances to holiday tunes.

Here is a video of the event.
