Winter Storm Fern, one of the largest snowstorms to impact the Philadelphia area, came through on Sunday, January 25, covering the region with heavy snow and ice. About a foot of snow fell in the morning hours before changing to sleet and freezing rain in the afternoon.
Streets were empty as most people chose to stay indoors. Most local businesses shut down for the day as well. All local schools were closed on Monday.

Sunday, January 18 brought more snow to the Berwyn area, a day after 2 inches fell on the area. The snowfall began before dawn and lasted throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
Some local businesses were closed and the streets were relatively empty due to the inclement weather.

A storm system came to Southeastern PA on Saturday, January 17, dropping an inch or two of snow on the area. The snowfall began in the morning, and by midday there was a white blanket covering the area. By mid-afternoon, the snow stopped and the sky cleared up by evening.

Saturday January 11 was a mostly rainy day throughout the Philadelphia area. This was forecasted beforehand, leading many people to give their dogs a walk at Teegarden Park in Berwyn before the weather got too damp.
Between 10-11 AM, the field had several dog walkers giving their furry friends some last minute exercise before heading indoors.

The Duffers slugged their way past the Nightshift Misfits 21-5 in the final game of the Winter 1 season in the Indoor Softball League at the United Sports complex in Downingtown, PA.
The Duffers got off to a strong start scoring 5 in the top of the first inning. The Nightshift Misfits made it competitive by scoring 3 in the bottom half of the inning. After that, however, the Duffers hit several homeruns to put the game away early.
The Nightshift Misfits concluded the season with a 1-7 record. Next week is the playoffs for the top four teams in the league, which the Duffers are one of.

The People's Light and Theatre Company in Malvern, PA put on its final performance of "A Christmas Carol" on Sunday afternoon.
The audience watched a musical version of the Charles Dickens classic novel about Ebenezer Scrooge, a crotchety and heartless businessman who has sacrificed people all his life in pursuit of wealth and power. This all changes one Christmas Eve night when the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future show the consequences of his harmful lifestyle, making him rethink what he values most in the world.
The show was the end of a series of performances that went back to late November.

The city of Philadelphia welcomed the new year with the 125th annual Mummer's Parade, a special event where people dressed in costumes march through Center City Philadelphia, often accompanied by instruments and various dances.
