Young Actors Perform Anastasia in Plymouth Meeting

By Nate Feldman

The Plymouth Meeting Performing Arts Center put on a performance of the play Anastasia for an audience at the Plymouth Meeting Mall on Sunday evening.

The audience was dazzled by the amazing job of the young actors telling the story of a street sweeper in Russia who is believed to be Anastasia, the last Czar of Russia's daughter, who was believed to be executed with her entire family after they were overthrown during the Russian Revolution.  But the young woman, who now goes by the name Anya, has no memory of who she allegedly once was.

The songs were lively, and the actors had amazing voices.  Many members of the audience had praise for the play and its cast.

"It was amazing," said Ari Trombetta, age 9.  "My favorite actor was Sara Feldman (Vlad)."

"All of the actors were amazingly talented," Anne Feldman, Sara's grandmother, added to that.

The young cast will put on an encore performance on Sunday November 23 at the same location.
